El Toro II in Champaign

I just love this location. The food is delicious, the service is fast and friendly. Highly recommend.

I ordered the super combo only to receive half the order. I Called to get the other half and they refused because they were "sure" they put it in. After much debate, they wanted me to drive and return the food (I dont have a car so this would of costed me money and time for their mistake so I refused to do so). On to the food, The ground beef was unseasoned, salsa tasted like tomatoes more than anything. Horrible spot

Waited two and a half hours for a pick up order. Food hadn’t even been started at 2.5 hour mark.

Love it here. The staff is always friendly, they are welcoming for young kiddos, and the food is really good. I love the grilled avocado dish! P.S. the margaritas are really strong

Service was fine. Unfortunately did not enjoy the tacos. The meat al pastor meat was dry and the rest was mediocre.

Great Service and delicious food

I ate here and got food poisoning! Not only me but 3 other people ate with me and got sick too. I don’t recommend this place to anyone!

Some of the best Mexican food I have ever had. The service was super fast, and everything was delicious. Not at all what I expected based on the location, but the decor is quaint. There is also a slot machine area if thats your thing.

The minced meat in the burittos looks and tastes like it was digested, then vomited. The sauce tastes like supermarket marinara pasta sauce. Most disgusting 'mexican' 'food' I've ever had. Do not believe the redneck reviews here. They've never been away from the cornfield and never tasted actual food. Even taco bell is far better than this.

Menu said "side of guac and pico" lol. It should say pintch. Good tamales but one was mostly stuck to the husk .

We just went at 9:30 and they said their kitchen was closed due to being slow. I only wanted to place an order that would take ten minutes and they refused. If their business hours say till 10 then they should serve till 10. Not good business etiquette.

The lunch chimichangas are pretty good.

One of the best Mexican restaurants in the area, along with Toro Loco. Best places within a hundred miles or more. I don't know why people go other places. As long as they do, keeps the crowds down here, so I'm ok with that. Want a better place? Go to Mexico or at least the south west. The food reminds me of a lil place in Las Cruces, La Nueva Casita Cafe. Also a great Mexican restaurant, but the put tons of cilantro on everything. But that's not a bad thing.

It was ok. Fiesta Cage is much better

All El Toro's are great, but the one on Springfield is better than this one!

Service was a little slow. The restaurant was very clean and I enjoyed the large wooden booths to sit in It was chori pollo special and discount margarita night. We were able to save some money getting the specials. Salsa was a little hot for the house sauce. Chips best yet!Menu is arranged by meat vs type of Mexican dish.

The best tacos that I've ever had!

No thank you keep you're a horchata we didn't even eat a half a basket of chips there's people that come in there and eat like 10 baskets of chips and he's going to get all salty with me over my kids drinking three or two and he warned them on the third one that that's how he could have that's a ridiculous ridiculous thing considering we were on a Mexican food kick and we were in there almost every night for a month straight and then I'll be out of the blue oh there's a limit on horchata screw that

So I will say that I'm not the biggest fan of mexican food but the service here was incredibly fast and thorough. The waiter kept bringing chips and we didn't even have to ask for more (same with the drinks).This past time, we went with a group of about 30 people and they pretty much got all of the orders right. If something was missing, they got it out immediately.

The staff were very polite and attentive, I just didn't like my food all that much. I had the Chile lime shrimp tacos and there was like a lot of mayo or creme in the sauce. I don't like mayo on my shrimp.

Best chips I have had in town so far. Far superior to the chips at Wedge and Maize. Better food than Maize as well. Service was prompt and the people were friendly. Best Mexican I have had in Champaign thus far.

It was cool it was nice I went there for lunch quick service tips for just okay but it was good place I go back I went to the one on Neil Street I guess there's others in town

Mui Bueno !Very good food and if you are Brazilian, the food is very similar.

Make sure you check your order before you leave if you picking it up because five times out of ten your order isnot right salsa and chips was not in the bag after the girl told me it came with the order guacamole was like baby food badfood

Average food and horrible service. We got our food and the order was missing items and they refused to fix the order for us. Made up weird lies about the Postmates delivery person telling them the wrong order (like they order it in person and it’s not through the app) and that they didn’t charge us for our order even though we had the receipt on our phone but they refused to look at it. Mistakes happen but it was the rude behavior, lack of willingness to help work for a solution, and blatant lies that really made the experience annoying. Our friend whose meal didn’t come ended up getting Taco Bell. He had the best dinner out of all of us.

El Toro is a classic stop for mexican cuisine in central il. The food is always great and the employees are some of the nicest people you'll meet.

I've been going to this place since it began and love it. The staff is very nice and welcoming and the food is great.

Had the flautas and a Corona with lime. The flautas had 2 beef and 2 chicken. They were delicious and I would love to eat there again.

Well I haven't eat there yet but from what I seen while I was there for a pick up order the food looked good and you got your money worth for what u ordered 😀 so I will try them out and a few other places that I haven't ate at yet😀 so i.ll keep ya posted on my next restaurant visit😀

Always friendly always super fast

OMG I can't remember how long it has been that I went to a place and the whole staff was friendly ! The Food was phenomenal ! When they came to sing Happy Birthday to my Great Nephew ( who turned 1 yrs old ) He never flinched or bat a eye at these men singing to him ! It was Awesome ! What great memories ! Hat's Off To The Staff ! Definitely A Wonderful Place For Birthdays !

I literally ran about half of the way from Central High School just to get an horchata. ( By ran, I mean I actually ran on foot, with a 20lb backpack.) So I was hot and tired. The horchata was great, but there was too much ice. I paid almost $3 for a big cup, and most if it was ice. So maybe next time I should ask for no ice. Either way, the horchata was great, and I would run there again. 4/5, -1 for too much ice. It was about 3/4 full of ice.

It was a busy night so maybe that's why but the food was just "ok". We've ordered El Toro through door dash and it's been better so maybe the location makes a difference? Service was friendly, food came out very quickly, makes me wonder if things are just heated up in a microwave.
